Welcome to my website.
The launch of my debut CD ‘Timeless’ took place on 25th October 2014 to introduce friends and family to my neo-classical style of music.
My aim in creating music is to provide therapeutic, calming and joyful melodies to edify and encourage the soul. In a world filled with busy schedules it is recommended to unwind and allow our body, soul and spirit to be rejuvenated. Instrumental music has the ability to touch our soul in a more deeper and meaningful way. Although the lyrics may not be present, it’s the spirit behind the music that speaks volumes.
My second album ‘Reflections’ was launched on 2nd August 2016. It is a compilation of piano pieces with instrumental backgrounds. It’s a story of reflection – interwoven themes pertaining to our seasons, our hope, the miracles that abound with everlasting joy and peace, in a place we can call home where we spread our wings like eagles. I would like to thank Paul Dimer (www.dime-entertainment.com) for the recording of the album.
My third album ‘Beauty for Ashes’ was launched on 31st January 2018. This album reflects the personal pain, trials and tribulations I have experienced, but with a hope that has been instilled along with a peace that surpasses all understanding. Following a cancer diagnosis, along with the death of my husband, it was a turbulent time in my life. However, God never forsakes us, through our most difficult times in particular, and blesses us in other ways. He is faithful. Again, I would like to thank Paul Dimer for the recording.
My fourth album ‘Mercy’ was written in 2018. However, it was my heart’s deepest desire to record with a violinist. My prayers were answered in November 2019 when Tullia Ashton-Lomax was introduced to me via an acquaintance. I would sincerely like to thank Tullia for her integrity and support, she truly is a lady with tremendous talent! This album is a reminder of God’s mercy and grace – His sovereign ways and goodness as we rejoice in answered prayer according to His will. I would also like to thank Robyn Payne from Adaudio for the recording of the album which comprises 11 new tracks along with 7 tracks from previous albums.
I sincerely hope these original melodies will be a source of comfort and peace. May they bring joy to your soul.
My love for poetry began during my teenage years. The beautiful rhymes would remain in my memory and I discovered that it was a powerful way to express literature, particularly when the poems were written about love. There was a depth and beauty combined with awe and wonder! These poems, however, were birthed during a time of tribulation in 2001 – a period in life where physical and emotional pain was present following an auto-immune diagnosis.
They are written to express the beauty of God and His invincible ways, whilst highlighting the need for our soul to be redeemed. Romans 3:23 states “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
I sincerely hope you find these original poems edifying. May they be uplifting, encouraging and provide much hope and joy as they point you to God Almighty through Jesus Christ.
The poem below was written to compliment my Reflections album:
“As the sun’s reflection sets on water and reveals its pretty face, the seasons are filled with hope…with memories we can embrace. There’s a place that we call home, with an everlasting peace, where we spread our wings like eagles … it’s where love and beauty meet. As the good shepherd tends his flock and sees the miracles abound, a simplicity is birthed with many treasures to be found. And as the many revelations help us grow with no regrets, take my hand … just you alone, as the best awaits us yet.”
Our testimonies are powerful. Each and every transformation from darkness to light reveals God’s mighty power at work. It is only by His grace and mercy that all things have come to be…
When my husband proposed to me on the day we met it was due to a culmination of factors. God was working behind the scenes to lead us to this moment.
I saw Paul in a dream three years prior. His face was clearly portrayed along with his occupation at the time. Our future children were represented too. The setting was breathtakingly beautiful – a lake with a stunning array of flowers and ducks floating so peacefully on the crystal water. The suburb Paul grew up in flashed before my eyes prior to waking. (However, it was not an easy path or marriage – the spiritual warfare was intense – but God was and is always faithful).
This occurred shortly after my boss Laurie shared the good news in 1995. I told him that I was a ‘good Greek Orthodox girl’ but it was the next six words that changed the course of my path. ‘Paras…Enter through the narrow gate.’ Matthew 7:13 – “Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Nobody had to remind me I was on the broad path – the Holy Spirit’s conviction was a clear arrow, but gently working to foster renewal.
Jesus is our peace and strength – He is the longing in our heart and He is simply enough – the One who gives us spiritual guidance and direction that satisfies a parched soul. God can ultimately satisfy and comfort the aching heart – the lonely soul… with His word and provision.
People have referenced that they don’t need God or ‘that book’ to live a successful and happy life. But what happens when tragedy strikes? Your best friend betrays/slanders you, your spouse may suddenly pass away, you’re fired from your job with insurmountable debts! Why wait for a crisis to occur before humbling ourselves and submitting to Almighty God? Scripture reminds us – “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
Be blessed and may God’s grace be our covering and His mercy forgive our souls.
With love,
Paras Bovolos
