YESHUA

Our Healer and our Deliverer

Yeshua is Your sacred Name;

You came to save us from our transgressions

So the stain of sin no longer remains.

In Your Name is complete deliverance

Where every tongue confesses You’re Lord,

With every principality bowing the knee

To have reverence for Your word.

Sickness, disease and infirmity

Will flee in Your precious Name;

Along with every oppression and depression

Where the darkness cannot remain.

Every struggle You will bear

As we lay it at Your feet,

Where complete deliverance we will find

So we do not taste defeat.

Every curse is broken

By the shedding of Your blood;

You’ve redeemed us from our sin

Our sweet Yeshua from above.

There’s no prison in our mind

That You cannot set entirely free,

Since the key to healing is in Your Name

Where all bondage it must flee.

Yeshua, You are Jesus

Where every spiritual wilderness

Is quenched of its every thirst

Where our soul finds needed rest.

Yeshua, You’re our Savior

The One who sets completely free;

You break every chain and bondage

So eternal life we’ll see.

EAST FROM WEST

As high above the earth

And as far as the heavens are;

Is the splendid touch of God’s mercy

That extends so wide and far.

He has cast all our transgressions

As far as the east is from the west,

So His peace is embossed within our heart

And our soul can know much rest.

He buries our errors from His sight

As deep as the earth can be;

He will never unravel nor dig them up

So His wrath we will not see.

His promises are honourable

And our faults He will disguise,

When we repent with a sincere heart

As He forgives our deception and lies.

He remembers that we are merely dust

And our frame is fragile too;

But He has pity on those who fear Him

With a desire to make things new.

As far as the east is from the west

Our shortcomings He will forget,

He is merciful and filled with compassion

When He wipes away our debt.

Nothing can compare to Him

As far as the east is from the west,

And His grace extends for eternity

He simply is the best!

(C) P.B. 2020

“For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.  For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.”  Psalm 103:11-14

“But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.”  Psalm 103:17-18

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”  Ephesians 2:13

SOMETIMES…

Sometimes the journey is difficult

Wrought with frustrations and pain;

It lingers for an extended time

Where discouragement may remain.

Sometimes the path is paved

With various pain indeed,

Where the physical and emotional trauma

Is an unbearable place to be.

Sometimes we may feel lonely

Although we’re surrounded by many,

And in continual conversations

But our soul is dry and empty.

Sometimes we may feel lost

Although with blessings we are surrounded;

By loved ones and all our comforts

And with good morals have been grounded.

Sometimes the path in life

Is not smooth or easy at all…

With many roadblocks and detours

Where troubles make us fall.

But sometimes all these are required

To steer us in a direction,

One that we wouldn’t choose indeed

But rich for our soul in reflection.

God knows what’s ultimately best

And His pruning is required;

To chisel us into His perfect plan

Where His will in us is desired.

Sometimes we shouldn’t complain or grumble

Since behind the scenes there’s a treasure,

Awaiting our transformation indeed

With blessings beyond our measure.

Let’s be patient with a forgiving heart

And wait for God’s promises to unfold;

He will see us through all difficulties

With a refinement that’s untold.

(C) P.B. 2020

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2

“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

“For godly sorrow produces repentance, leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Corinthians 7:10

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

MIRACLES

They’re inexplicable by natural

And of scientific laws,

They’re attributed to the divine

And conducted without flaws.

They’re absolutely everywhere

Our visual eyes will see;

Created from a single seed

And perfect as can be.

The cells and structure so complete

By an intelligence that’s divine;

Created with such intricacy

With a beauty that’s refined.

Miracles are so evident

We just need to be ensured,

That we’re actually seeing reality

And from deception we are cured.

Miracles abound each and every day

With remarkable escapes;

With reasons unexplainable

When disasters we never face.

The bible contains many miracles

Where the hand of God interceded…

His divine plan had to take place

And was always undefeated.

Jesus turned water into wine

And healed the sick and the lame;

They were instantaneous occurences

With testimonials that remained.

The greatest miracle of all time

Is when God forgives our sin,

Through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ

So our soul is saved within.

(C) P.B. 2019

“The blind see and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” Matthew 11:5

“Son, your sins are forgiven you.” Mark 2:5

‘Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water”. And they filled them to the brim….when the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine…” John 2:7-9

“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.” Acts 19:11-12

EXCLUSIVE

There’s an exclusive fingerprint

Belonging to each and every one;

To reveal a unique touch indeed

Where exact same there is none.

Likewise we’ve all been created

With original talents and gifts,

Where the blueprint is exclusively ours

That our Creator does so give.

Although we’re created exclusively

We’re equal in God’s sight;

Since He’s no respecter of persons

But desires we see His light.

No flower will ever be painted

In the exact same as another,

And no poem can ever be replicated

Since with exclusivity they’re covered.

No melody can be copied

And no creative pursuit repeated;

Because there’s a style and a method

With exclusive rights within it.

There’s a uniqueness and an exclusivity

With all different abilities,

To fulfil a role and a calling

All designed for eternity.

Some function as the hands and feet

In the body of Christ,

Whilst the eyes and ears have exclusive roles

But which all lead to the light.

Some paths are more difficult

Where the strain and pressure remains;

But gold is always refined through fire

Where our character is no longer the same.

When we’re patient and when we don’t give up

There’s always a reward,

Because although our struggles are not exclusive

They’re familiar to the Lord.

He suffered immeasurably and exclusively

Because He never deserved same;

But His mission was divinely inspired

So heaven we may gain.

We’re all exclusive in God’s eyes

An original in every way,

With our DNA unparalleled

With a uniqueness that remains.

Jesus made an exclusive statement

That He is the way, the truth and the life,

The only way to the Father

And salvation through Him will suffice.

(C) P.B. 2020

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.”  Colossians 1:16

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”  1 Corinthians 12:11

“In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.  But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.”  Acts 10:34

“For there is no partiality with God.”  Romans 2:11

“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function.”  Romans 12:4

“But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.”  1 Corinthians 12:18

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No-one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6

THE LIGHT

Light is a manifestation

And it reveals many things;

It shines a torch upon the darkness

And the truth it always sings.

It has no shadow and never will

Because it’s pure and it enlightens;

It brings forth knowledge of every situation

And reality it will heighten.

It will always reveal those darkest corners

That are hidden in our soul,

Where the cobwebs have been interlaced

With the many of strongholds.

But it will sweep away

Our darkest of situations;

As it highlights the root of the problem

Exposing all its information.

There’s a spiritual light that’s marvelous

And He is the light of the earth;

He brings much needed healing

And in our soul much hope He births.

Jesus is the light of the world

So precious, clean and true,

He’s the glory of our Heavenly Father

Highlighting a need to make things new.

Because spiritual darkness is paramount

Where transgressions are repeated;

And practiced like a hobby or art

When they cannot be defeated.

But the light of the world

Comes to set us entirely free,

To highlight all the hidden traps

And all the hypocrisy.

His light will penetrate our soul

When we come to the realisation,

That we’ve all transgressed against a holy God

And thus repent without hesitation.

The light sets free and gives us peace

It’s a warm and glowing delight;

When we place our faith and trust in Christ

Who is the epitome of God’s light.

(C) P.B. 2020

“I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”  John 8:12

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

WHAT’S THE POINT?

What would be the point

If it’s the end when we die?

Since there would be no plan or purpose

And technically one big lie!

What would be the point

When we toil and we labor,

To sweat to make a living

If we’re merely just a vapour?

What is the point

Of all the joy and all our laughter;

When it’s a speck of dust in eternity

If there’s no ever-after?

What would be the point

To acquire knowledge and success,

Making every type of sacrifice

So our family has the best?

We don’t have all the answers

But one thing is for sure;

That there’s blessings and there’s curses

It’s a fact we can’t ignore.

Let’s get to the point

As to why we do exist,

To examine from God’s perspective

To ensure nothing is missed…

We’re created for a purpose

Through God’s love with a plan;

And although we suffer in different ways

It’s in His sovereign will and hand.

He gave us our sweet Jesus

So we’re reconciled to Him,

Through the sacrifice on the cross

So our soul is cleansed within.

He wants to write our story

As His pencil makes a point,

To point us to His loving Son

The One He did anoint.

The point of the matter

Is that eternal life is real;

And earth is a dressing room for eternity

Before forever is revealed.

There’s no point in rejecting God

And gambling with eternity,

Since His loving grace and mercy

Is what our soul desires to see.

(C) P.B. 2020

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.  Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except no-one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”  Ecclesiastes 3:11

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”  John 6:47

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:1

“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”  Revelation 4:11

“..whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame – who set their mind on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”  Philippians 3:19-20

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.  But now Christ is risen from the dead..”  1 Corinthians 15:19-20

“The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.”  1 Corinthians 15:26

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:11-13

SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS

They are humbly hidden from our sight

But are authentic and they’re true;

All spiritual blessings bestowed from above

As they’re combined with mercy too.

It’s when we’re adopted by our Heavenly Father

When we receive Jesus as Savior,

As His loving arms extend to us

When we accept His love and favour.

It’s His righteousness we begin to see

As old patterns of behaviour,

No longer have a stronghold

When Christ is Lord and Savior.

It’s His grace that we adopt

And His wrath no longer remains;

As we’re forgiven from all trespasses

And our lives are no longer the same.

It’s the hidden beauty of a heart

That desires others to be blessed,

It’s to have sincere intentions

Where love and joy will manifest.

It’s the sweetest of the fellowship

With God and His people too;

Who share a similar mission and a vision

To see souls saved through and through.

It’s an inheritance and a promise

Of eternal life indeed,

As we’re cleansed and we’re redeemed

Where many blessings we do see.

But the most important of them all

Is when the Holy Spirit sits;

In our spirit to confirm and stamp

We’re no longer destined for the pit.

The worldly standards are judged by sight

By achievements and success,

But God’s richest blessings are manifested

In those who humbly want God’s best.

Spiritual blessings are rich indeed

And although they’re behind the scenes,

They’re the most precious we could ever attain

Where by God they can be seen.

(C) P.B. 2020

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out ‘Abba, Father.’  The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”  Romans 8:14-16

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”  John 1:12

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28

“Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.  And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”  Romans 8:9-10

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”  2 Corinthians 3:17

“By this we know that we abide in Him, and Him in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”  1 John 4:13

JESUS -v- MAN-MADE RELIGION

It’s a controversial topic

And forever it will be…

But when the Holy Spirit dwells within

From man-made religion we’re set free.

Our culture usually determines

The religion to which we adhere;

Along with the morals we are taught

And in our heart hold dear.

But when we’re led by God

We’re not bound by regulations,

Nor by rules or the law

And freed from heavy expectations.

His yoke is easy and is light

Because He’s the One who guides;

He reveals His righteous ways indeed

So we can walk in the light.

Man-made religion produces guilt

Whereby God’s ways do liberate,

They set us free from bondage

From all fear, guilt and hate.

Because a heavy price was paid

When Jesus hung on the cross;

So the eyes of our soul can open indeed

And reveal the lies embossed.

Jesus rebuked those Pharisees

Who imposed heavy burdens and traditions,

Because they promoted hypocrisy and fear as well

Not from God’s word but their man-made religion.

But Nicodemus was a Pharisee

Who honoured the teachings of Christ;

He had a revelation

That the new spiritual birth does suffice.

When true religion is biblical

It’s God’s heart we manifest,

To protect the orphan and the widow

And to do for them what’s best.

It’s to not conduct out of obligation

Or because we know it’s right;

But to sincerely provide and to assist

And to do so with delight.

When people prefer to believe the lie

That God and man-made religion are one,

An excuse can manifest in their soul

To justify rejecting His Son.

God is pure and sets us free

So joy can manifest within,

With a freedom that’s righteous and led by truth

When we’re forgiven for all our sin.

(C) P.B. 2020

“For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move with one of their fingers.  But all their works they do to be seen by men.”  Matthew 23:4-5

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.”  Matthew 23:15

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest…For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”  James 1:27

“..having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us.  And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”  Colossians 2:14

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”  Colossians 2:8

“Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations…according to the commandments and doctrines of men?  These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility..”  Colossians 2:20-23

“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus…Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’” John 3:1-3

LOVINGKINDNESS

It’s an endless stream of affection

With a love that cannot change;

It is steadfast and it’s faithful

Where mercy and goodness will remain.

It’s a covenant of loyalty

Where its limit knows no end;

It is undeserved as we receive

His favour that He sends.

As the Father loves the Son

Jesus loves us dearly too,

With a lovingkindness that’s pure and sweet

And never dependent on what we do.

His lovingkindness is immeasurable

It is generous and from the heart;

With a goodness and a faithfulness

That will forever last.

When kindness, mercy and goodness

Become one when they do blend,

There’s a steadfast hope amidst our trials

Where broken hearts will mend.

God’s lovingkindness is unique

A rare quality indeed;

Which He deposits in our soul

So we can produce good seed.

It’s the icing on the cake

When love and kindness kiss…

It produces the extraordinary

To promote a life of bliss.

(C) P.B. 2020
