PRAYER

Why do we find it difficult

To submit our hearts in prayer;

To cast all our burdens to the Lord

Knowing that we’re in good care?

We are busy most the time

And the flesh is just too weak,

To bow our knees on humble ground

To submit to God, be meek.

But the battle is always won

When we pray with all of our heart,

And express all the yearnings

From our soul, our deepest part.

And the fiery darts are conquered

As the sweet aroma rises,

Of our deep expression to Jesus

To receive blessings full of surprises.

“..but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6
