Lord Jesus be our chef
As you marinate our soul;
Select our daily menu
As Your freshness it unfolds.
Lord Jesus be our teacher
As You teach God’s wondrous ways;
Fill the whiteboard with much wisdom
Preparing us for heaven’s days.
Lord Jesus be our best friend
And confide in us Your word;
As it changes and restores us
As Your heart in us is poured.
And Lord Jesus be our husband
As Your bride awaits Your love;
As You’re united to Your church
To spend eternity above.
