We may believe our contribution
May be insignificant indeed,
But it’s the smallest acts of kindness
That has potential to plant seeds.
It’s the warmth of a smile
That may impact someone’s day,
Like a ray of sunshine from the lips
Where in the heart a rainbow stays.
It’s the gentle touch and kindness
That may calm a weary soul;
It’s the soft answer that speaks louder
With an impact to behold.
It’s the giving without expecting
Anything in return;
It’s the joy in seeing others blessed
And in being able to discern.
It’s the routine with long-suffering
That will chisel us within;
It’s our reaction during trials
Where eternal benefit it brings.
It’s where prayer and intercession
Can impact in invisible ways,
And where fruit will transpire
Where rewards will remain.
Because it’s the simplest ways and forms
That will impact in bigger ways,
Since it’s the faithfulness that builds
And gives God glory with much praise.
