Not all heroes wear a cape
But they’re bold and courageous indeed;
They fight for justice and for what is right
As they conduct heroic deeds.
A hero will many times sacrifice
Their comfort or even their life,
To ensure the safety of others
And to prevent any further strife.
But we should refrain from being a hero
And stop playing the role of God,
When we try to prevent the inevitable
When God needs to not spare the rod.
Heroic deeds are so honourable
When a stance for truth is made;
When God’s word is honoured and boldly proclaimed
And where integrity will remain.
A true hero will wear the badge
Of sincerity, bravery and grace,
Since their selfless and their noble deeds
Are respected and embraced.
Some heroes have four legs and a tail
So loyal and man’s best friend,
With a love so unconditional
Beyond what we can comprehend.
As they would lay down their lives to protect
With a heart so sincere and pure;
Filled with godly characteristics
With a love that endures.
But a hero is never glamorous
Since there’s a price to always pay,
When strength and determination
Will expose all wicked ways.
Our true supernatural hero
Sacrificed His life for our betterment,
And rose again defeating His foes
A hero we’ll never forget.
