They are almost invisible
Yet their damage is so vast,
They work in tandem to meet a target
So any structure will not last.
They are pesky little creatures
But they have an aim and vision;
To eat away and to deplete
To cause chaos and division.
When the termites of bitterness
They nibble on our soul,
They’ll chip away our peace and joy
With a definite stronghold.
When the plague of fear knocks
On the door of our heart;
We remember the promises of the Lord
That all evil shall depart.
When the termites of anger
Multiply they cause destruction,
As they eat away our insides
So we cannot clearly function.
Although they’re white it’s not a reflection
Of any purity they possess,
Since their nature is to ultimately destroy
They truly are a pest.
To exterminate is the only solution
Before more damage will be done;
To completely and totally annihilate
Until there is not one.
Similarly all anger and bitterness
And all of our transgressions,
Need eradication of every sort
To relieve all stress and tensions.
It’s through repentance we are cleansed
So all traces of our sin,
Will not cause any more destruction
As we’re protected from within.
