Just imagine a place so beautiful
Where there will be no more tears;
A destination so indescribable
That will last throughout the years.
Just imagine a place so purely divine
Where darkness can never dwell,
And where the pain that we once encountered
Is truly forgotten as well.
Just imagine a picture so perfect
Where no blemish can ever smear,
And where peace and joy will last forever
With a love we hold so dear.
Just imagine the reality
That this place is so very real,
When it continues into the everlasting;
Where our brokenness is healed.
And just imagine the pure delight
When we know it will never end,
Because the price that was paid was priceless
When Jesus Christ became our friend.
It took three nails and a plank
And the shape of a cross indeed,
When our Lord and Savior was crucified
So for our sins He would intercede.
Just imagine the pain and torture
That Christ had to truly endure,
So we’re given the opportunity
To rest in His kingdom so pure.
Just imagine if He chose not to
But was disobedient like us all,
The course of history would be different
As our name could not be called.
The blood of the Lamb was mandatory
To appease God’s anger and hurt,
So just imagine the necessity
Of an exchange with a spiritual birth.
