The way we see the world
Will determine our position,
As to what is important and or sacred
And accordingly make decisions.
If we believe that God has created
Everything that carries breath,
Then we see the richness of His grand creation
And where our lives won’t end at death.
But if we believe in evolution
And where there’s no eternal life at all,
We’ll maintain the position that when we die
We occupy that six foot hole.
Because if there’s no accountability
Towards the pure and holy Lord,
It’s when we believe that mankind came from apes
And where God’s judgement won’t be poured.
But if we believe that God has created
And there’s a purpose for everything,
Then the depth and beauty of His love
Much joy and peace will bring.
But if we believe that we came from apes
Then why do they still exist?
Shouldn’t they have been long forgotten
Or merely made extinct?
Many questions may occupy
Our heart and soul for sure,
Particularly the fact that evil exists
And whether God does care after all.
But it’s not God’s plan or in His heart
To harm or cause destruction,
But it’s our fallen nature that causes wars;
All derision and afflictions.
The soul that discovers the new birth
Will be inundated with love,
With peace and joy that kisses kindness
That emanate from above.
The difference is profound
And will determine our destiny,
As to whether we’ll be in God’s presence
Or apart from Him eternally.
Jesus hung on that wretched cross
To make a difference to our soul,
When His blood washed our transgressions
To give us eternal life behold!
