O Lord have mercy on our souls
And forgive us all our sins;
According to Your lovingkindness
And cleanse our soul within.
As we acknowledge our trespasses
You are faithful to forgive,
Since against You, and only You we’ve sinned
But repent so we may live.
With Your mercy and Your pardon
You purge with hyssop to make us clean;
As You wash us to be white as snow
To restore us and to redeem.
Deliver us from bloodshed
Since we all nailed Jesus to the cross;
When our iniquities they reached Your eyes
Whilst on our heart they were embossed.
Restore the joy of Your salvation
And from Your presence do not cast,
And kindly blot out our transgressions
And create a clean heart we do ask.
Forgive us dear Lord and Father
As from Your glory we fall short;
And regenerate and give us strength
And all our sins abort.
As Your gentle heart forgives us
And You extend Your loving hand,
We’re forgiven when we humbly repent
Knowing it’s Your mandatory command.

For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
