MOUNTAINS

When it appears too overwhelming

And when mountains escalate,

It may appear our prayers aren’t answered

But God’s timing is never late.

When our mountains become strenuous

To climb or to overcome,

All hope is never lost

When we embrace God’s pure love.

The molehills in our life;

Large mountains they can become,

When our focus is on the problem

Rather than in healing through God’s Son.

Because when our ship appears to sink

And the waves come crashing down,

There’s a lifeguard who walks on water

And who can turn our life around.

When our waters are too deep

And when trepidation does take place,

There’s a Savior who extends His arm

With kindness and with grace.

No mountain is too high

And no valley is too deep,

When our faith and trust remains in Christ

And when victories we reap.

When we humble ourselves before the Lord

And with faith as a mustard seed,

We begin to respect His sovereignty

And prayerful outcomes we do see.

The mustard seed is the smallest

But it thrives and grows indeed,

And when prayers are wholehearted

Miracles happen on our knees.

Goliaths do come crumbling down

With their magnitude as well,

And it’s our pebbles that make an impact

With God’s power and His help.

T’was on the mountain at Calvary

Where our Savior was crucified,

But where redemption and victory powerfully met

When after three days Christ did rise.
